II originally started crocheting when I was 15 years old with my best friends mom and my crafting fever began! I love to create beautiful things and Off the Hook Crochet Studio is a perfect outlet for my passion of all things yarn.

I am based in a small town about 10 miles south of Dallas called Midlothian, Texas. It is a small town with great charm. We usually do not have long winters but we do have enough cold days to warrant the warmth of hats, scarfs, gloves and anything made with yarn and a hook.

Originally I sold my handcrafted items to friends and family but the last year my orders has grown to people around the USA and even other countries! I do need to thank all of my family and friends for their support at this time, without them this would not be such a success!

I love the unique, beautiful style of handcrafted items. Inspiration comes from the colors and natural things I see everyday. My favorite yarns to work with are all natural wools. Especially merino wool, cashmere, alpaca nd of course, cotton. I take extra care to pick top quality wool but do make items for those on a economic friendly budget.

Merino Wool is my most favorite wool to work with and wear. My daughter has an unusual Lanolin allergy which is rare and she has to be careful of so many items with lanolin, even wool. But Merino Wool is the highest quality available, it is temperature regulating and has hypo-allergenic characteristics for even those with the most sensitive skin to avoid the classic "itch" that wool usually causes.

It is a pleasure to create unique and exquisite items for people who appreciate the time and effort that goes into every item. Thank you to anyone who has either bought one of my items or has helped me with my adventure in crochet and yarn! With their support I am able to keep doing what I love.
